Print, Resist and Reveal Workshop w/ Marnia Johnston

Discover how layering, masking, image transfer, slips, underglazes, and ceramic screens can transform the ceramic surface. In this hands-on workshop, you'll experiment with a variety of surface techniques while creating four layered ceramic tiles from pre-prepared leather-hard clay. Through demonstrations and guided exploration, you'll learn how different processes work together to build depth, texture, pattern, and imagery. You'll make four test tiles, a personal reference library of techniques, and practical skills you can apply to both functional pottery and sculpture. Included: Tools, supples, glazing and firing. All work made in the workshop will be clear glazed and fired by a MC staff person after the workshop. Work will be ready for pick up 3 weeks from the date of the workshop.

Workshop Cancellation & Refund Policy: If you need to cancel your class, you must email info@merrittceramics.com 48 hours in advance to receive a refund minus a $10 transaction fee. After that time there is no refund or rescheduling. Any rescheduling at any time, if available, will cost $10.
