Join sculptor Erin McGuiness for a one-day hands-on workshop in coil-building, one of the oldest ceramic techniques. You’ll learn to shape clay into vessels while strengthening your creative voice through somatic and contemplative approaches to making. Perfect for beginners and experienced makers alike, this class will cover: -Fundamentals of coil-building -Explore form and texture -Embodied techniques to connect hand, body, and clay -Ways to nurture confidence and consistency in your creative practice Level: Beginner/Intermediate All supplies and materials provided. Firing is included for one piece. Discounted firing is available if you wish to fire more pieces. Glaze will not be included in this workshop focuses on showcasing the natural form and texture of the clay.

There is additional parking behind the studio just off of E19th street. If you are parking in the back, please enter the studio from the front entrance located on Park Blvd

One-Time & Workshop Cancellation & Refund Policy: If you need to cancel your class, you must email info@merrittceramics.com 48 hours in advance to receive a refund minus a $10 transaction fee. After that time there is no refund or rescheduling. Any rescheduling at any time, if available, will cost $10.
