About this event

Curious about working with porcelain? In this workshop, you'll learn the ins and outs of handling this notoriously challenging clay body for maximum success. Students will have the opportunity to try three different types of porcelain, gaining a better understanding of their differences and how they compare to other clays. The workshop will include demonstrations on adjusting your cylinder-throwing techniques, as well as making a porcelain bowl. Level: Beginners/Intermediate - This class is ideal for anyone who is already comfortable throwing consistent cylinders. Note: This is a skill-building workshop focused on practicing with different porcelains vs. creating finished pieces. Firing of work is not included in this workshop.
