Spring Floral Arranging & Vase Making with Found Floral & Anna Yuh Kyung

This two-part workshop is for flower lovers who want to create their whole arrangement from vase to bouquet! CLAY Part 1: April 27th, 10am-1pm LOCATION: Merritt Ceramics Learn how to handbuild a coil-built medium-sized vase with texture. All participants will get to choose from a selection of glaze colors they would like their vase to be glazed in. Glazing will be done after the workshop by a member of staff. • Level - All levels. Can be a complete newbie to clay! • Students may use the remainder of Open Studios that day to complete their piece if they don't finish during the workshop hours. FLOWER Part 2: May 11th, 10am-1pm LOCATION: Found Floral 2205 4th Street, Berkeley Students will explore the art of everyday arranging inspired by their ceramic vase! Participants will learn how to create arrangements using local spring blooms, greenery and materials that can easily be found at a local market or a stroll in their backyard. The workshop will highlight approachable techniques to bring nature into the home! • Level - All levels! • Students will be arranging in their finished ceramic vase. All ceramic pieces will be transported to Found Floral. No delivery arrangements need to be made.
