Screen Printing on Greenware with Chanda Beck

This workshop is all about screen printing on greenware and will cover the following techniques: -How to create unique screens using EZ-Screen prints. -Introducing Mayco Brand silkscreen images and other options for pre-burned screens. -Screen printing directly onto greenware. -Screen printing onto newsprint to use in newspaper transfer methods for three-dimensional forms including ways to layer underglaze colors with screen printed images. -How to prepare your underglaze for use in the screen printing process. Whether you're new to screen printing or looking to try new methods, this workshops has something for everyone! Level: Beginner/Intermediate. Must have experience working with clay either hand-building or wheel throwing. Workshop includes: All supplies, materials and screens and firing for one piece. EZ Screens will be provided as practice for the duration of the workshop. Participants will not be able to take the screens home with them.

1-2 mug/tumbler sized greenware pieces to work on. This workshop includes firing and clear glazing of one mug/tumbler per person. Clear glazing and firing will be done by a member of staff and will be ready for pick up approx. 3 weeks from the date of the workshop.
