Want to feel more confident in the glaze room?? Come learn from Don Santos, a local glaze legend. Participants will learn glazing fundamentals and basic glaze applications. There is something new to learn for beginners all the way to advanced! -Troubleshooting common application issues such as: glaze cracking and peeling, double dipping, how to get even coverage, and understanding glaze terminology and glaze flaws (crazing, pin-holing, crawling). -Developing better glaze application techniques -Open Q & A Note: Students may bring in up to 2 small pieces to glaze fire. Clay MUST be cone 5/6. Materials included: one test piece for practicing, 10+ dipping glazes Level: All levels

What to bring

-2 small bisqueware pieces that you would like to fire. Clay MUST be cone 5/6. -snack or lunch. There will be a 20 minute break.

There is additional parking behind the studio just off of E19th street. If you are parking in the back, please enter the studio from the front entrance located on Park Blvd

Cancellation Policy

One-Time & Workshop Cancellation & Refund Policy: If you need to cancel your class, you must email info@merrittceramics.com 48 hours in advance to receive a refund minus a $10 transaction fee. After that time there is no refund or rescheduling. Any rescheduling at any time, if available, will cost $10.
