Surface Design Tuesdays 6-Week Course

A 6-Week Course devoted to surface design techniques!! Spend your course experimenting and learning all about how to take your handbuilt and/or wheel thrown work to the next decorative level! This is a great course for those who have taken a minimum of one Intro 6-Week Course in either Handbuilding or Wheel Throwing. Students will dive deep into sgraffito, mishima, slip trailing and transfers, shellac resist and overglaze. This course is also great for those who are feeling a little stuck in their creative process and need a little change of pace! This class meets on consecutive Tuesday evenings from 6pm-8:30pm for 6-Weeks. **Please note that their will be no classes the week of November 24-30th for Thanksgiving holiday. Classes will resume the following week.** Course includes: Clay & Firing | Tools & Materials | Glazes | Open Studio hours from Tuesday-Sunday, 11am-6pm. Level: Must have completed a minimum of one Intro to Handbuilding or Intro to the Wheel 6-Week Course. Students will be encouraged to utilize Open Studio to make their own work throughout the course to be able to decorate during class. Make up Policy: For any Intro Courses, we do not recommend missing any classes as each week leads to the next. Students will generally fall behind if there are missed classes, so be sure to check your calendar ahead of time! If you need to make up a class, you may sit in on another class (same type of class, ie. Intro to the Wheel) that same week. Same type classes follow the same schedule week to week. If you can’t make up a class that falls within that same week, there are no make ups. If you miss Week 6 for glazing and cannot attend a make up class, students will have to schedule a 1hour private lesson on glazing in order to finish your work.

While we understand the unstable nature of covid and it’s variants, we unfortunately cannot refund you after the start of your course. No refunds or credit rollovers will be issued.
