Sunday 6-Week Intro to the Wheel

Intro to the Wheel - Students will learn how to use the pottery wheel and will learn the ceramic process from start to finish. Your instructor will teach you how to throw on the wheel, how to trim your work with foundational trimming techniques, and glaze application. This course is great for beginners with no experience! This course meets consecutive Sunday evenings from 6pm-8:30pm for six weeks. Course includes: clay & firing | tools & materials | glazes | Open Studio hours from Tuesday-Sunday, 11am-6pm. Please note that the minimum age to register for this class is 16 years old. Students may not bring guests when attending Outside Studios for the duration of their 6-Week Course. Make up Policy: For any Intro Courses, we do not recommend missing any classes as each week leads to the next. Students will generally fall behind if there are missed classes, so be sure to check your calendar ahead of time! If you need to make up a class, you may sit in on another Intro to the Wheel Class that same week. All Intro to the Wheel Courses follow the same schedule week to week. If you can’t make up a class that falls within that same week, there are no make ups. If you miss Week 6 for glazing and have never glazed before and cannot attend a make up class, students will have to schedule a 1hour private lesson on glazing in order to finish your work. PLEASE NOTE: There are only two spots available in each Intro Class for make-up students. Make-up spots are reservation-based and first come first serve. COVID 6-Week Course Cancellation & Refund Policy : Course Cancellation & Refund Policy: If you need to cancel your course, you must email info@merrittceramics.com more than a week prior to the first class session to receive a refund minus a $10 transaction fee. While we understand the unstable nature of covid and it’s variants, we unfortunately cannot refund you after the start of your course. No refunds or credit rollovers will be issued.
